NYFW F12: Marchesa

Marchesa was the show I looking forward to the most as I LOVE their beautifully crafted gowns. And while I wish I could have been there in person the pictures did not disappoint.  As usual the looks were exquisite, so detailed and interesting that it's hard not to take a second look at them.

While I adore some of the gowns above, this year's collection was not my favorite.  As a whole I felt there was a slight lack of cohesion.  For example while that laser cut leather dress is so intricate and those sandals rock, the look felt out of place amongst all the airy gowns.

The standouts for me were pics 1-3.  It was nice to see a coat/dress and the pattern on it was so detailed yet it wasn't overwhelming.  I also really liked how they mixed metallics and textures with the tulle, beading and feathers.  Georgiana Chapman and Keren Craig are amazing at what they do, I could see many of these gowns on red carpet!
